Young Volunteer Action Week 24th of October – 30th of October

This year Sillamäe Society for Child Welfare with Tallinn Sport and Youth Department, Vaivara Commune Administration and Peace Child Estonia will carry out project „Volunteer for Tomorrow – Homne Vabatahtlikhttp://vabatahtlik2011.sscw.ee, supported by European Commission. The project takes place in the framework of European Year of Volunteering 2011 and the purpose of the project is to raise awareness of volunteering itself and empower young people to become volunteers.

In the framework of Sillamäe Society for Child Welfare led project Volunteer for Tomorrow, supported by the European Commission, a Young Volunteer Action Week will take place from 24-30.10.2011.

The programme happens across Estonia and is filled with so-called action projects. They are practical activities enabling young people and others interested to get a concrete experience of volunteer work. Activities can be anything depending on community needs.All activities of the week are put up on a database on http://vabatahtlik2011.sscw.ee, through which it is possible to join projects and follow their development. All who wish to make something with young people or for them around Estonia are welcome to upload their projects.
