Young volunteer action week 24.10-30.10.2011

From 24th to 30th October  2011 Young Volunteer Action Week will take place across Estonia to advance direct experience with volunteer work among young people. The program contains different practical activities for all interested. If you still wish to do something for young people or with young people you can still upload your project to the database. All young people who wish to do something useful during the school break are expected to join.

For example in different Tallinn Youth Centres information days and cleaning will take place. Tallinn’s Children Home will get their fence fixed, there will be maintenance work carried out in Nõmme Sport’s Centre and other activities. In other places of Estonia, repair work will be done in Tartu Safe House, painting the walls in Kohtla-Järe Järve Secondary School and many other activities. All projects will be uploaded on the database at http://vabatahtlik2011.sscw.ee through which it is possible to join the projects and follow them.

Action week takes place in the framework of “Volunteer for Tomorrow” and is supported by European Commission and other supporters.
